Deraps aiming to release sophomore album during the fall of 2024

Canadian rockers Deraps featuring guitarist Jacob Deraps and drummer Josh Gallagher (who share lead vocal duties) are aiming to release their sophomore studio album during the fall of 2024. Deraps‘ debut self-titled album landed the #7 position on the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2022.

The following message was posted by Jacob Deraps on Deraps‘ Facebook page earlier today:

“Hey guys! I just wanted to give you an update of what I’ve been doing these past few months.

Josh and me have been working non-stop on our second album, and it’s almost finished! We tracked the drums back in September when Josh was in Québec. Since then, I’ve been recording guitars, bass and vocals, which are now basically all done. Josh is currently finishing up his vocals, while I’ve started mixing some songs. We hope to release the album around Fall time.

I also have a brand new home studio setup, as you can see in the photo, and I couldn’t be happier! This allows me to exploit all of my gear at its full potential. I’m excited to start working on better quality videos with this setup, whether it’s cover songs, gear demo videos or fun jams. I’m also beginning to do session guitar work for professional artists and I’m getting back to giving online guitar lessons.

For online guitar lessons, my prices are 50$ for 30 minutes and 80$ for an hour, and payment must be done 24h ahead of session, to prevent last minute cancellation. These sessions can be used for learning your favorite songs or asking me any questions about gear, tone, and more, to help you achieve your dream sound and your objective as a player.
