Hi, I’m Pheonix, born and raised in the city of Pittsburgh, known as The Steel City. I graduated from Oakland Catholic High School in the city of Pittsburgh and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) both provided me not only with a great education but the balance of experiencing different cultures and true friendships all while instilling in young ladies that achieving their dreams was possible. As a young kid, I loved music of all genres, but my favorite was R&B.
I always knew I wanted to bring the joy of music to others and there was no better way to do that than through the radio. Though I faced many setbacks to achieve my dream of being on the radio, I never gave up on my dream or myself and finally got my first on-air personality position with Vybe95.
I’m a graduate of IUP with a bachelor’s degree in communications media and a minor in journalism. I’m also a member of The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and your midday weekend host of The Weekend Vybe, on The Vybe. I have been in radio for 3 years.
