About Rock N Shock Show
Ray Thomann, aka Trenton, is a professional drummer, songwriter and Trick Drums USA endorsed artist. He’s also known as a professional radio broadcaster, tv host and creator, who has hosted programs on terrestrial radio, cable / satellite television and on social media.
Born in Trenton NJ, he was exposed to talk radio and music broadcast at a very early age. He quickly discovered he had a love for the interview and music format. He followed such talk format personalities as Irv Homer of 96.5 WWDB fame and notable Philly DJs John DeBella and Ray Koob “Rockers Show.” These legends of radio motivated Trenton to make his mark in radio and television broadcast that has now spanned over fifteen years.
In 2005, Trenton began his career on AM/FM radio. With the help of his mentor, talk show legend Irv Homer (96.5 WWDB), Trenton landed his first “talk radio gig” on the 50,000 watt powerhouse WNWR 1540 AM Philadelphia and Cruisin’ 92.1 FM WVLT. He quickly became a respected radio host in the Delaware Valley market due to his ability to engage the radio listeners. This led to the program broadcasting on a host of FM and AM stations in his hometown market which included Philadelphia, Trenton & the Delaware Valley.
Trenton went on to host an hour long daily nation wide terrestrial radio show on over 30 stations. He also produced and hosted a television program on TV-16 in the Columbus & Ft. Benning, GA; Auburn & Phenix City, AL markets. Currently, Trenton hosts the Rock ‘N’ Shock Show which airs on the Classic Metal Show Network and on Terrestrial & Digital Radio. Trenton guests have included such personalities as Steve ‘Zetro’ Sousza from Exodus, Legendary Rock Photographer Mark Weiss, Tommy Clufetos (Ozzy, Black Sabbath & The Dead Daisies), Chip Z’Nuff (Enuff Z’nuff), Rhino (Manowar, Angels of Babylon), Little Ozzy, and many more.
In early 2024, Trenton released his Symphony of Rebellion – Volume One EP featuring Ronny Munroe (Metal Church, Trans Siberian Orchestra) on vocals and Alex Stephens (solo artist, Angels of Babylon) on guitar. Trenton and his music has been spotlighted in such magazines such as Metal Edge and Metal Maniacs. He has also appeared as a guest on a number of radio and television shows.
In addition to his musical and media endeavors, Trenton is an accomplished martial arts and former professional wrestler trained by WWF star Iron Mike Sharpe. Trenton has been inducted into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Historical Martial Arts Society Hall of Fame.
