About Shark Attack with Mark the Shark
I grew up an 80’s kid in western Massachusetts. I spent all of my time exploring the outdoors, absorbing book after book, and creating art. I’ll never forget the first time I opened up an old record. My uncle sat me in front of his collection and started up the turntable. That needle dropped and my life was forever changed. My passion for music has grown exponentially since. I’ll listen, I’ll read the lyrics, the interviews, the bios… and then I have to be there, in the thick of it, at the live shows, watching the band and feeling the energy from the crowd. I’ve met and befriended so many amazing musicians along the way! I don’t know how many of you can say you’ve toured with Pantera and partied with Dimebag Darrell, but I sure had a hell of a time!!!
When I’m not focused on music I find myself lost in WWII books and documentaries. I love reading first hand encounters from veterans. I have always been fascinated by the decades before me, how strongly people fought for what they believed.
I come from a big family and have also created a big family so I love taking the time to enjoy my kids. Teaching them about all that came before them is one of my favorite jobs. I’ve taken many different career paths in my life, from carpenter to car salesman, but radio has always been my calling. I hope to share my passion for music and my knowledge of its inner workings and history with kindred spirits and fellow headbangers!
