Travis Scott Announces Kanye West Collaboration With Cryptic Clip

Travis Scott has a new collaboration with Kanye West on the way and he’s giving fans a small preview of what to expect.

In a post to Twitter/X on Thursday (May 9), Travis shared a clip of what appears to be a song’s music video. The video is mainly close-ups of Ye’s face as the hook plays before the words Cactus Jack appear in red at the end.

“Ye x The Jack,” Travis captioned it.

Last month, Travis Scott pledged his allegiance to Kanye West – who helped usher him in the game in the early days of his career – in his war with adidas over “fake” Yeezy sneakers.

During an appearance at the University of Texas in April to promote his new college-themed clothing collaboration with Mitchel & Ness, La Flame was asked by a fan to sign a pair of his Yeezy shoes.

Upon noticing the shoes were not from Kanye’s run of releases with adidas, the former G.O.O.D. Music affiliate snubbed the fan’s request and said: “We not signing no Yeezys unless they made by Ye.”

Kanye West has been very vocal about his grievances with adidas since their lucrative Yeezy partnership was terminated over his antisemitic remarks.

In a typically outspoken Instagram post in February, more than a year after they parted ways, Ye accused the sportswear giant of releasing “fake” Yeezy shoes and urged fans not to buy them.

“Let me explain really clear to you guys what’s happening with adidas,” he wrote. “Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are not approved, they’re suing me for $250,000,000 and they’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it.

“They’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist — one of ya’ll favorite artist — right in front of ya’ll, in broad daylight.”

In a separate post, he screenshotted a 350 V2 shoe listing on adidas’ IG page and captioned it: “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these color ways I’m not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me.

“All these celebrities and the public will stand against a T shirt or the color of my hat but when yall see me have my children hidden from me or see an actual Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life don’t nobody say nothing or do nothing.”

He concluded: “As far as the system goes What yall gone do now Take my album down again Freeze my accounts again Threaten people to not work with me again All the new non approved 350’s are cooorny.”
