Welcome back — Santa Cruz’s original line-up back together

It’s been already six years since Santa Cruz‘s original line-up disbanded when while on tour of the United States of America supporting Fozzy, guitarist Johnny Parkkonen, bassist Middy Toivonen and drummer Tan Fagerstorm  apparently kicked their lead vocalist Archie Cruz off the tour bus and advised him that they were no longer part of the band. This resulted in Santa Cruz cancelling their participation for the rest of their tour dates supporting Fozzy.

Since then, Archie Cruz has continued fronting Santa Cruz but with many line-up changes. Santa Cruz have also released two albums — Katharsis (2019) and The Return of The Kings (2022) — during that time, which have for the most part been deemed disappointments, and certainly when you gage on how those albums have fared on the Sleaze Roxx Readers’ Top 20 Albums of the Year (both not making the Top 20 in their respective years) and when you consider that the band’s debut full-length album Screaming For Adrenaline with the original line-up finished at #10 on the Sleaze Roxx Readers’ Top 20 Albums of 2013 and #1 on the Sleaze Roxx’s Top Ten Albums of 2013.

The following message was posted on Santa Cruz‘s Facebook page earlier on today:

“It’s official! The original @santacruzbandofficial line up is finally coming back this year! Buckle up for a tour announcement 🤟🤟
