Yngwie Malmsteen has world tour booked starting in May to celebrate the launch of his solo career & album

Former Steeler and Alcatrazz guitarist Yngwie J. Malmsteen has forged a successful career for four decades and he will be celebrating the launch of his solo career and album Rising Force during a world tour that starts in two months.

The following message was posted in part on Malmsteen‘s Facebook page earlier today:

“To all of you guys sending well wishes on the 40th anniversary of my first solo album, Yngwie J. Malmsteen’s Rising Force…

Thank you! The sentiment is appreciated. But it was not released until November 1984 in Japan only. Subsequently, it was released worldwide in early 1985.

I have a world tour booked starting in May to celebrate the launch of my solo career and album. I’ll have more details on that and other celebrations later this year.
