LISA expressed her emotions as she checked out of “The White Lotus” following the show’s finale. The BLACKPINK star reflected on her first acting role in an Instagram post on Tuesday, April 8, stating, “What a ride.”
“Thank you, Mike White, for trusting me to fulfill the role of Mook and bring her character to life,” LISA wrote, sharing several photos taken on set in Thailand, where the third season of the Max series was filmed. “It was the greatest honor to be part of this show as my first acting gig alongside such incredible actors. And I’m so proud to be able to share my culture and show the beauty of Thailand to the world.”
“Mook has changed my life in a way where I am learning more about myself and my capabilities,” she added. “My Sunday nights may feel a lot emptier but I am closing out ‘The White Lotus’ with a full heart.”
LISA’s post came two days after the final episode of “The White Lotus” season three premiered on Max. In the series, the “Rockstar” singer portrayed an employee of the fictional hotel chain’s Thailand location, starring opposite Tayme Thapthimthong, whose character, Gaitok, had a crush on Mook.
One of the photos LISA posted features Thapthimthong lying on the floor in a staging area behind the scenes, smiling at LISA’s camera. Other images show LISA in her khaki “White Lotus” uniform sitting on the beach in a director’s chair, reviewing a scene on a tablet, and spending time with a dog. She also included a video of herself learning to drive Mook’s scooter with the help of crew members, letting out an anxious screech before riding down the street.
LISA’s role in “The White Lotus” was among several major projects she undertook during BLACKPINK’s hiatus. She released her debut solo album, “Alter Ego,” in February, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and featured collaborations with artists like Doja Cat, RAYE, Megan Thee Stallion, and Rosalía.
With her solo album released and “The White Lotus” concluded, LISA is preparing to reunite with her BLACKPINK bandmates this summer. The group is currently working on new music and will embark on a world tour beginning in July, marking their first tour since the 2022-23 “Born Pink World Tour.”
