Harry Styles is reportedly in the final stages of negotiating a residency at the Sphere, potentially bringing up to 35 shows to the venue this fall and winter. Sources indicate an official announcement might be forthcoming as early as next week. Although a Sphere representative did not confirm the reports, the prospect of Styles performing at the venue aligns with previous scheduling attempts, initially aimed for March 2024 but later adjusted.
Styles is seen as a fitting choice for the Sphere, given his successful 15-show run at Madison Square Garden in 2022. Madison Square Garden Entertainment, which owns the Sphere, seems to be leveraging its connections through Jeffrey Azoff and Irving Azoff to finalize the deal. This potential residency would mark a diversification in the Sphere’s lineup, traditionally dominated by legacy rock acts, by introducing a pop artist known for appealing to a younger audience. If confirmed, Styles would join other prominent artists such as Kenny Chesney and the Backstreet Boys as headliners at the venue.
