Oak View Group Takes Over Allegiant Stadium Concessions I,000 Could Lose Jobs

Oak View Group is set to take over as the concessionaire at Allegiant Stadium, leading to the layoff of over 1,000 employees by Levy Restaurants, the current operator. The transition will occur on April 1, and Levy will cease operations on March 31. This change impacts a wide range of roles, including bartenders, waitstaff, cashiers, supervisors, and dishwashers, among others.

Levy, engaged by the Raiders in 2019, has been responsible for food and beverage services since the stadium’s opening. Despite the layoffs, Levy maintains operations in other prominent Las Vegas venues, such as T-Mobile Arena and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The company hopes affected employees will find opportunities within other venues or the parent company, Compass Group.

Ken Gaber, president of OVG Hospitality, stated that the company is collaborating with the Raiders and Allegiant Stadium to rehire as many existing employees as possible. OVG is actively conducting hiring events to facilitate this process, aiming for a smooth and efficient transition. Open calls for hiring are scheduled to continue next week at WSKY Stadium.
