A Sunbury home with a tropical-themed basement was recently spotlighted by the social media account Zillow Gone Wild.
The account, which showcases unconventional homes, shared the 4,872-square-foot residence located on the 1500 block of Lovinston Way earlier this month.
Zillow Gone Wild described the Sunbury home’s basement as reminiscent of “Margaritaville,” thanks to its extensive tropical murals covering the ceiling and walls, along with a thatch-covered tiki bar.
“The fully finished basement is an entertainer’s dream, complete with a custom tiki bar and cinema room, perfect for hosting guests or unwinding in style,” the listing states.
While the basement offers a distinct tropical vibe, the rest of the house features a blend of luxury and modern design, highlighted by an open-concept floor plan. The property, which boasts six bedrooms and five bathrooms, was listed for $1.2 million in late February by Kari Heidl-Teske with Red One Realty.
Zillow Gone Wild began as an Instagram account by Samir Mezreahi, a former BuzzFeed social media director, in late 2020. It has since grown to more than one million followers and expanded to platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and X, in addition to inspiring an HGTV show of the same name. However, the Sunbury home has not appeared on the TV show, which currently has one season.
Though Zillow Gone Wild is not affiliated with Zillow, the real estate listing website licensed its name for the series.
