Forrest Frank Is Making Christian Music, Fresh

Forrest Frank is on a mission to create the kind of Christian music he wished he had as a child.

“When I was growing up, I didn’t necessarily have cool Christian music to listen to,” Frank shared. “If I was going to the gym or the beach, there weren’t really any Christian songs that fit those moments. There was great worship music, but I wanted something more—something that could be part of everyday life.”

That gap in the music scene didn’t just frustrate him—it moved him to tears. Now, he’s changing the game for the next generation.

Frank first made waves in the music world as part of the pop duo Surfaces, but his journey as a solo Christian artist has been extraordinary. With a Grammy nomination for Child of God and millions of streams on tracks like “Good Day” and “Up!” (a collaboration with Connor Price), he’s proving that faith-based music can be both meaningful and mainstream.

Since stepping out on his own, Frank has kept a steady pace, releasing New Hymns in 2023, followed by A Merry Lofi Christmas and Child of God in 2024. His latest song, “DROP!,” blends hip-hop energy with introspective lyrics, reflecting his signature mix of feel-good vibes and spiritual depth.

The momentum doesn’t stop there—his Child of God Tour Part 2, featuring Elevation Rhythm, kicks off on March 27 and will cover the U.S. and Canada.

While Frank’s music is rooted in faith, it resonates far beyond Christian circles. He believes his success is part of a more significant cultural shift.

“This generation is waking up. There’s a lot of questioning happening,” he observed. “People are searching for something real.”

That authenticity draws many listeners—Christian or not—to his music. His songs capture joy, hope, and struggle in a fresh, relatable, and authentic way.

Frank’s breakout hit, “Good Day,” became more than just an uplifting anthem—it became his lifeline. At that moment, Frank had to live out the lyrics he sang.
