Family Sues Trump Hotel Over Fatal Revolving Door Accident in Las Vegas

The family of Diana Truschke has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, claiming negligence after she died from injuries sustained a year prior. According to the lawsuit, Truschke, 78, was injured when a malfunctioning revolving door at the hotel allegedly sped up and ejected her, causing her to fall and sustain severe injuries. The lawsuit argues that hotel employees should have been aware of the door’s faulty condition and its non-compliance with safety standards.

The incident reportedly occurred on March 21, 2023. Truschke’s health deteriorated following the fall, and she passed away on October 14 from related injuries. The family’s lawsuit cites negligence in the maintenance of the door, as well as negligent hiring, training, and supervision of staff. They are seeking damages exceeding $15,000 for various losses, including economic damages, future earnings, medical costs, and emotional suffering. Trump International has not yet commented on the lawsuit.
