Picktown Palooza Returns with New Elements

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (AP) — Picktown Palooza is set to return this year with several changes, including an age requirement for entry and the introduction of new vendors.

The annual festival, founded in 2017, will take place from July 10 to 12 at 300 Opportunity Way in Pickerington. Starting this year, attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry. As the festival shifts its focus to cater primarily to adults, carnival rides will no longer be part of the event’s attractions.

“Our goal has always been to offer an unforgettable event for our community, and these updates allow us to refine and enhance the experience,” said Chris Stein, a festival organizer. “By transitioning to an 18+ festival, we can better focus on delivering a premium entertainment experience while maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests.”

This year, the festival will introduce a “Vendor Village,” showcasing local businesses, crafts, and artisan creations. The event will also feature live music performances, food vendors, a car show, and more. An area designated for adults 21 and older will offer beer for purchase, with alcohol being unavailable elsewhere on the grounds.

A single-day pass costs $10, while a three-day pass is priced at $20. Children 10 and under can enter for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets are available for purchase online or at the gate. Free parking is provided on site.

The musical lineup for the festival includes:

Thursday, July 10
– Charlie Bonnet III and the Gasholes: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
– Ted Poley of Danger Danger: 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
– Rockett Mafia featuring Rikki Rockett of Poison: 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Friday, July 11
– Britny Fox: 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
– Black ‘N Blue: 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
– Mike Tramp’s White Lion: 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Stein noted that the lineup for Saturday, July 12, will be announced soon on the event’s Facebook page. Concerts are included with the price of admission.

Picktown Palooza will proceed rain or shine, with no refunds issued. In the event of dangerous weather, the grounds will close. Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, but coolers are not allowed. Pets are also prohibited.

The festival hours are 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 10, 4:30 p.m. to midnight on July 11, and 2 p.m. to midnight on July 12.
