Dierks Bentley Announces 11th Studio Album Broken Branches with Star-Studded Collaborations

Dierks Bentley has announced the release of his newest album, “Broken Branches,” set to drop on June 13th. Marking his 11th studio album, it comes 20 years into Bentley’s celebrated career and is available for pre-save now. The album will feature collaborations with artists such as Riley Green, Stephen Wilson Jr., Miranda Lambert, and the legendary John Anderson.

Bentley reflects on the album’s theme, sharing, “The country music community has a lot of broken branches in it. That’s why we’re all here. We want to do something a little bit different, and I think everyone sees themselves like that – certainly in country. This is the people’s music and it represents that spirit of individuality so well – it’s just about doing it our own way.”

The album comprises 11 tracks produced by John Randall and Ross Copperman, featuring performances by Charlie Worsham, Jedd Hughes, Rob McNelley, and Bryan Sutton. Although Bentley co-wrote only four tracks, he embraced contributions from a variety of writers, many of whom are new to having cuts on a major record.

Bentley comments on the collaborative nature of the project, stating, “I think that’s what’s special about country – we’re still making music in the studio with our buddies. We’re still getting together and talking about the songs and letting the musicians have a big say. It’s a good team – maybe a little messed up – but that’s the whole idea behind broken branches, so it just works.”

As a multi-platinum recording artist, Bentley boasts eight Number One albums, 22 Number One songs, over nine billion global streams, and 15 Grammy nominations. Tracks like “What Was I Thinkin’” and “Drunk on a Plane” have been significant in shaping the country music scene of the 2000s and early 2010s.
