Thomas Rhett Overcomes Ankle Injury to Perform at Nashville Concert

Country star Thomas Rhett experienced an unexpected mishap at a concert when he injured his ankle on his way to the stage. The singer, 35, was making a surprise appearance at Forrest Frank’s concert in Nashville to perform their collaboration, “Nothing Else.” As he hurried down the steps, Rhett took a tumble, requiring the assistance of security guards to get back on his feet.

Despite the injury, Rhett managed to perform energetically, relying mostly on his right foot. After the show, his wife, Lauren Akins, was seen pushing him in a wheelchair, a moment Rhett shared on Instagram with humor. He captioned the video, noting his dedication to the performance despite the mishap.

Fans and fellow musicians praised Rhett’s perseverance. Forrest Frank called him an “absolute champion,” while others admired his ability to continue the show with such enthusiasm. Rhett later confirmed that he had only sprained his ankle, avoiding a more serious injury.

Rhett, the son of country musician Thomas Rhett Akins Sr, has a successful career with multiple Grammy nominations and numerous hits on the Billboard Hot Country 100.
