Kendrick Lamar and Gracie Abrams Among Winners At 2025 Webby Awards

Music stars made a strong showing at the 2025 Webby Awards, with winners including Kendrick Lamar, Gracie Abrams, Lady Gaga, Benson Boone, Jelly Roll with MGK, Mariah Carey, Questlove, Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erivo, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Rihanna, and Laufey.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” music video won the Webby Award for Music Video, Creator Excellence. It previously won the Grammy for best music video on Feb. 2 and is expected to be a major contender at the MTV Video Music Awards this year.

Gracie Abrams won the People’s Voice Award for Music, General Video & Film (Video & Film) for her short film “The Secret of Us (Short Film) | Vevo Extended Play.”

Lady Gaga’s “A Digital Home for a Global Pop Icon” won the Webby Award for Entertainment, General Desktop & Mobile Sites (Websites and Mobile Sites).

The Webby Awards ceremony, hosted by writer, comedian, and actress Ilana Glazer, will take place at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, May 12. Winners of the Webby Awards are chosen by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS), while the People’s Voice Award winners are determined by public vote.

“The Webby Awards celebrates the incredible diversity and global reach of the Internet,” said Jesse Feister, executive director of Webby Media Group, in a statement. “This year’s winners represent a masterclass of creativity and innovation.”

Special Achievement Awards will also be presented. Snoop Dogg will receive the Webby Entrepreneur of the Year Award for expanding how creatives can leverage entrepreneurship. Dr. Fei-Fei Li will be honored with the Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to AI and ethical, human-centered AI leadership. Walton Goggins will receive the Webby Best Actor Award for his streaming performances.

Amelia Dimoldenberg will be awarded the Webby Special Achievement Award for her series “Chicken Shop Date.” Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett will receive the IADAS and NAACP Webby Advocate of the Year Award for her advocacy work. Jools Lebron will receive the Webby Crush the Internet Award for her digital impact, and Marcello Hernández will be recognized with the Webby Outstanding Comedic Performance Award.

The MeidasTouch Podcast will be honored as the Webby Podcast of the Year for its political commentary impact. Google will be recognized as the Brand of the Year, with iHeartMedia named the Webby Podcast Company of the Year. NBCUniversal has been announced as the Webby Media Company of the Year.

The newly introduced Creator categories highlight the impact of creators on culture and the Internet, with winners like Caleb Simpson, Chris Klemens, Colin Furze, Jake Shane, Jameis Winston, Joe Ando, Joshua Weissman, Laufey, Nick DiGiovanni, Skibidi Toilet, Trixie Mattel, and Zach King.
