BET+ and Sony Music Vision have announced that the concert film “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris” will be streamed exclusively on BET+ starting May 8.
“I’m happy to be partnering with BET+ to bring the celebration of my 30-year career to you, the fans, to enjoy from the comfort of your homes,” Usher said in a press announcement.
BET+ Executive Vice President and General Manager Jason Harvey added, “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris is more than a concert film—it’s a cultural moment that reflects the kind of bold, high-impact storytelling our audience expects from BET+. We’re proud to partner with Usher and Sony Music Vision to deliver a cinematic event that centers Black excellence, artistry, and innovation.”
Directed by Anthony Mandler, “Usher: Rendezvous in Paris” documents the eight-time Grammy winner’s eight-show residency in Paris in 2023. Held during Paris Fashion Week at La Seine Musicale, the residency extended the artist’s popular Las Vegas residencies. The film includes performances of classics from Usher’s 30-year career, such as “Yeah!,” “My Boo,” and “U Got It Bad,” along with never-before-seen costumes and cutting-edge lighting and special effects. Initially announced in July 2024, the film premiered globally in 2,000 theaters during a limited release from September 12 to 15, 2024.
Usher, who also produced the concert film alongside Mandler and Ron Laffitte, is currently on the European leg of his Past Present Future Tour. The tour began on April 1 at London’s O2 Arena and has made stops in Paris on April 15 and Amsterdam on April 22, 25, 26, and 28. It will continue to Berlin on May 1, 2, and 4 before returning to London’s O2 Arena on May 6 and 7.
