OutKast to Join Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2025 Induction Ceremony

OutKast will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 class. The duo, consisting of André 3000 and Big Boi, has significantly influenced Hip-Hop and music in general over several decades. Although they have not been active as a group recently, their cultural impact remains strong, and this recognition highlights their contributions.

John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, commented on the inductees, noting their unique sound and the significant cultural shifts they inspired. He emphasized that their music has given a voice to generations and influenced numerous artists.

OutKast’s last collaborative album, “Idlewild,” was released in 2006 alongside a film of the same name. Before that, they produced the Grammy-winning, Diamond-certified double album “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below,” considered a landmark in Hip-Hop. André 3000 recently released his debut solo instrumental album “New Blue Sun” in 2023, earning three Grammy nominations. Big Boi has released three solo albums and collaborated with artists like Phantogram and Sleepy Brown.

The duo celebrated the Hall of Fame news on social media, with Big Boi sharing a video and expressing his excitement by calling it the “last infinity stone in the Thanos Glove,” signifying their enduring legacy. The induction ceremony will take place on November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
