Riot V frontman Todd Michael Hall releases new solo album “Off The Rails”

Todd Michael Hall, frontman of Riot V, has released his new solo album, Off the Rails, on October 18, marking his fourth solo effort and second full metal album since 2021’s Sonic Healing. Once again, Hall collaborated with Kurdt Vanderhoof, the guitarist from Metal Church, who also played a central role in producing and writing for Off the Rails, giving it a hard-hitting, classic rock-inspired edge.

Hall describes the album as deeply influenced by recent chaotic global events, noting that despite these challenges, music remains a source of grounding and positivity. “‘Off the Rails’ felt like the perfect title for what we’ve all been through,” he shared, adding that the album combines driving riffs and melodic vocals with uplifting messages. Vanderhoof added, “I wanted to create guitar-driven music that stood on its own, breaking the expectations people often have for metal guitarists.”

The album’s tracklist includes standout songs like “The Doctor” and “Are You With Me,” which capture both high energy and a reflective tone. Off the Rails promises a blend of classic rock elements and emotional depth that builds on the foundation Hall and Vanderhoof set with Sonic Healing.
