Cardi B has reaffirmed her support for Kamala Harris by speaking at a campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event featured performances from artists like GloRilla, Flo Milli, MC Lyte, The Isley Brothers, and DJ Gemini Gilly. However, Cardi’s speech was particularly notable because she initially did not plan to vote in the election. Her stance changed after Joe Biden exited the race and Harris was nominated, leading Cardi to become a vocal supporter of the Vice President. Cardi had previously expressed her support for Harris in a July Instagram post, stating her belief that Harris should have been the 2024 candidate.
Cardi is among several celebrities who have joined Harris on the campaign trail as Election Day nears. Jennifer Lopez endorsed Harris at a Halloween rally in Las Vegas, following derogatory comments made about Puerto Rico at Donald Trump’s rally in Madison Square Garden. Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, former members of Destiny’s Child, also showed their support for Harris at a rally in Houston. Other celebrities like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, John Legend, Jamie Lee Curtis, Katy Perry, and Kerry Washington have also expressed their endorsements for Harris on social media.
