BTS member Jimin will take the solo spotlight in an upcoming exhibit in Los Angeles titled “The Truth Untold.” The immersive experience promises BTS fans, known as ARMY, a unique look into the creative process behind Jimin’s solo albums, 2023’s FACE and this year’s MUSE, offering glimpses into his personal diaries, lyric notebooks, and other behind-the-scenes materials, according to a release. The exhibition will be held at Ace Missions Studios in L.A. from Nov. 29 to Dec. 15.
Tickets for the event, organized by HYBE INSIGHT and Live Nation, go on sale Nov. 12 at 12 p.m. local time, with a waitlist presale available now. Ticket prices start at $29.99. Exhibition hours will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Organizers estimate it will take approximately 60-90 minutes to explore the exhibit.
“The space is thoughtfully designed to immerse attendees in the emotions Jimin experienced during the creation of his solo albums,” reads the release. It notes that the exhibit is divided into two sections: FACE and MUSE. The FACE section, inspired by water ripples, features a media wall and distorted mirrors to symbolize the confusion Jimin encountered on his journey to self-discovery. In the MUSE section, calming waves represent Jimin’s achievement of embracing his true self.
The exhibit will recreate the aesthetic from Jimin’s videos for “Like Crazy” and “Set Me Free Pt. 2,” with a photo zone inspired by the tracks “Who” and “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band,” both from MUSE. For the first time, the exhibit will display handwritten letters revealing Jimin’s “deepest, unspoken feelings,” along with costumes, props from music videos and performances, and his solo trophies and awards.
BTS went on hiatus in 2022 to allow all seven members to complete their mandatory South Korean military service, with plans for a group reunion announced for 2025.
