RIGORIOUS is one of the most promising and interesting young German power metal bands and has been enriching heavy metal in its more modern form with synthesizer and orchestral elements since 2021. Just one year after its founding, they made their first mark on the scene in 2022 with the EP “Iron Wings / Power Of My Sword” and their debut album followed in 2023. “Night of Retribution” was enthusiastically celebrated by fans and the press and the quintet managed to share the stage with acts such as GRAVE DIGGER, BRAINSTORM, RAGE, ORDEN OGAN and SERIOUS BLACK within a very short time.
The long-awaited successor “Kingdom Unfold” will follow in January 2025. Again produced, mixed and mastered by GRAVE DIGGER singer Chris Boltendahl in the Graveyard Studio in Cologne, the Monheim band shows that there is no standstill for them. The songs are again characterized by the unique RIGORIOUS DNA, so you can find everything from ballads to pounding rockers, but everything is melodic, yet heavy and catchy and never boring. They even managed the almost impossible task of showcasing singer Lukas’ unique voice, which ranges from clean to rough and spans three octaves, even better and setting great accents in the songs. At the beginning of 2025, you can also hear his monster voice live, which peaks at 107 dB, louder than a jackhammer. In January 2025, when the album is released, they will be going on the GRAVE DIGGER 45th Anniversary Tour with VICTORY, followed by a tour with SERIOUS BLACK in March.
