Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Maps” has tied Mitski’s “My Love Mine All Mine” for the second-longest run in the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart’s history, while the chart dated Nov. 16 sees new entries in the lower half of the top 10, led by Beyoncé’s “Diva.”
The TikTok Billboard Top 50 ranks the most popular songs on TikTok in the United States each week, based on video creations, views, and user engagement. The latest chart reflects activity from Nov. 4-10. TikTok data is used solely for this chart and not on other Billboard charts.
“Maps” spends its sixth consecutive week at No. 1, claiming sole possession of the second-longest rule since the chart’s launch in September 2023. Mitski’s “My Love Mine All Mine” also led for six weeks in total, across two separate three-week runs. The all-time record belongs to Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby,” which stayed on top for 10 straight weeks.
Released on Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ 2003 debut album Fever to Tell, “Maps” is fueled by two TikTok trends: a dance challenge and a filter that removes and reassembles the user’s facial features. One of the popular sounds used is a sped-up version of the track.
For a fourth week in a row, “Maps,” Alphaville’s “Forever Young,” and Akon’s “Beautiful Day” hold the top three spots in that order. While “Beautiful Day” remains at its peak of No. 3, “Forever Young” reached No. 1 briefly in October.
The rest of the top 10 is less stable. Tyler, the Creator’s “Like Him,” featuring Lola Young, breaks into the top five, climbing 6-4 in its second week. The song, from his new album Chromakopia, which tops the Billboard 200 for a second week, benefits from the “do I look like him” trend, where creators explore complex father-child relationships or personal comparisons.
“Like Him” saw a 10% boost to 13.7 million U.S. streams in the week ending Nov. 7, per Luminate, and leaped from 45 to 29 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Aphex Twin’s “QKThr” completes the TikTok Top 50’s top five, moving up 10-5, just below its peak position of No. 4, while Beyoncé’s “Diva” appears at No. 6, its first time in the top 10. “Diva,” from the 2008 album I Am…Sasha Fierce, reached No. 19 on the Hot 100 in 2009 and has gained new momentum on TikTok, where it’s used in trends celebrating bold, diva-like behavior. It saw a 17% increase to 2.3 million streams in the Nov. 1-7 tracking week.
Two other songs make their top 10 debut on the TikTok Billboard Top 50: Gracie Abrams’ “That’s So True” at No. 8 and Michael Prince’s “Finesse” featuring Koncept P at No. 9. Abrams’ track, from the deluxe edition of her album The Secret of Us, has gone viral due to lip-synching trends, rising to 18.9 million streams, up 26%, and ascending 25-13 on the Hot 100.
“Finesse,” released on Prince’s Limitless – A Trap Symphony in May, gained traction through a trend involving its “do you not get the concept?” lyric, commonly paired with a two-person dance. The song jumped to 437,000 streams in the tracking week, up 67%.
Returning to the top 10 after 11 months is Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” climbing from 17-7. The holiday staple spent eight weeks in the top 10 last season, hitting No. 1 on its final two frames. This year, it leads the chart’s holiday tracks, ahead of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (No. 13, up from No. 48) and Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (re-entering at No. 22).
