TORONTO (AP) — Gracie Abrams, who has spent the past year opening for Taylor Swift on the record-breaking Eras Tour, took a moment on Sunday to reflect on her experiences as the global trek nears its conclusion.
“Torontoooooo ❤️💔 I will never ever forget those six shows. You were so loud and so generous and so kind,” Abrams wrote on Instagram, sharing photos from Swift’s six-show run at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. The performances began on Nov. 14 and wrapped up Saturday night.
Abrams’ post featured moments from her time on stage, including a surprise duet with Swift during the Nov. 16 show. The pair performed a mash-up of Swift’s 1989 track “Out of the Woods” and their joint song “Us” from Abrams’ The Secret of Us album. Other photos showed Abrams waving to the crowd, posing in front of a maple leaf mural, and embracing Swift on stage.
The singer also referenced Swift’s unique setlist choices during the Toronto residency, particularly a mash-up featuring “Cassandra,” a song from The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology. Swift’s performance marked the song’s first live rendition.
Abrams first joined Swift’s Eras Tour in March 2023, opening the Arlington, Texas shows alongside Beabadoobee. She continued performing through the U.S. leg, concluding her first stint in August at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Abrams rejoined the tour in October for dates in Miami, New Orleans, and Indianapolis, leading into the Toronto shows.
The Eras Tour is set to wrap up its historic run in just two weeks.
