Bob Bryar, who served as the drummer for My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2010, has passed away at the age of 44. The news was confirmed by TMZ.
According to the report, Bryar was discovered deceased in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, November 26, by a member of Animal Control. An autopsy is underway to determine the cause of death.
Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, stepping in for original drummer Matt Pelissier after the release of the band’s breakthrough album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. He became a key part of the group during their rise to fame, contributing to the creation of the ambitious 2006 concept album The Black Parade. Known for his dedication, Bryar sustained a severe leg injury during the filming of the music video for “Famous Last Words,” a testament to his commitment to the band’s vision.
