It’s been 2 years short of a decade since R&B/Pop megastar Rihanna has released a studio album. And while The Rihanna navy has been desperately anticipating Rihanna’s full return to music since then, we have been graced with many different facets of Ms. Fenty; she’s been making a killing in the business world becoming a fashion icon and successful beauty product manufacturer. We’ve seen a few musical appearances and features from Rihanna in the years since her last album Anti (2016) and we can only hope for more of those since Rihanna has pretty much shut down any rumor of musical return.
Recently the Bajan singer-songwriter, and businesswoman was interviewed by the press outside of an event as she was asked the question;
“How much has being a mom impacted your career in terms of making music?” To which Rihanna replied “ Oh… it’s impacted it greatly…” “…. My Children are my priority, music comes second to that”.
It seemed as though Rihanna has grown tired of being questioned on the matter , which is understandable. But it’s also apparent that this was a good opportunity for Rihanna to make a few things clear, especially in this stage of life. As this question was asked, a rep from Ms. Fenty’s team had prompted the media that they will take no further questions, but prior to that she had been asked about how she plans to spend the holidays. Rihanna’s response was again family oriented; “We’re spending our holiday together… we don’t know where that’s going to be, but we know we’re going to be together”.
At age 36 Rihanna is in full time mommy mode! And it’s beautiful to see her prioritize personal life and family while managing a super successful musical career, a clothing line, and cosmetics brand. And as you can tell from her approach to all things, she’s sweet and humble but what RiRi says-GOES!
