Jack Russell, former frontman of Great White, passed away at the age of 63 on August 15, 2024.
A celebration of his music and life is scheduled to take place at the iconic Whisky A Go-Go in West Hollywood, California, USA, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. The event will feature many of Russell’s long-time friends, including Don Dokken (Dokken), Terry Ilous (XYZ, ex-Great White), and Andrew Freeman (Last In Line, ex-Great White).
The celebration will bring together friends, family, and fans for a special evening of music and memories, highlighting Jack’s significant contributions to rock ‘n’ roll and the vibrant spirit and humor that made him unforgettable. Joining the celebration are Don Dokken, Nate Peck (Firehouse), Terry Ilous (XYZ/GW), and Andrew Freeman (GW), along with iconic guitarists Lita Ford, Joey Allen (Warrant), and Jerry Dixon (Warrant).
With JRGW’s long-time band, they will perform the Great White songs Jack made famous. Comedian and actor Hal Sparks (Queer as Folk / Dude Where’s My Car) will host the celebration of Jack Russell’s life and music. More friends and special guests are expected to be announced.
