Parker McCollum’s 2025 What Kinda Man Tour hit a snag during his show in State College, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, January 25. Although the concert began as planned, it soon became evident that McCollum was not feeling well. Fans noticed his struggle and shared moments from the performance on social media, showing him trying to push through his discomfort.
Eventually, McCollum decided he couldn’t continue and apologized to the audience. He announced, “I’m going to call the show. I’ll give each and every single one of y’all your money back,” expressing his sincere regret. “It is from the deepest part of my heart that I apologize for having to do this,” he added. “I’ve never done this in all the years that I’ve been singing country music. I hope you guys will forgive us.”
Aside from promising refunds, McCollum assured fans he would reschedule the show for a later date. He reiterated this promise in a social media post after the concert, explaining, “I was getting pretty sick before the show and tried to make it through. Sadly, I couldn’t make it happen. Definitely not how we wanted the show to go, but we are going to make it up to you very soon.”
Despite the unexpected turn of events, fans largely supported McCollum’s decision to cut the show short. One TikTok user, @alliecheeto, noted that he was unwell before the performance but still attempted to deliver as much as he could. “He made it about halfway through the set list and honestly sounded so good until the last two songs he sang. It’s ok Parker, we still love you!” she wrote. Another user praised him, commenting, “Very respectable young man. You gotta understand things like this.”
McCollum’s next concert is scheduled for January 30 in Kingston, Rhode Island.
