Post Malone is set to perform at the official Big Game Tailgate, hosted by YouTube, ahead of Super Bowl LIX. The event will take place Feb. 9 in New Orleans, just before the Kansas City Chiefs face the Philadelphia Eagles.
The performance is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET near the Caesars Superdome, where kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. The “Better Now” singer’s pregame set will be livestreamed exclusively on YouTube. His performance will be part of a full day of live music surrounding the game, including Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show featuring guest star SZA and Jon Batiste’s rendition of the national anthem.
This marks the first year YouTube is sponsoring the event, though the tailgate concert tradition began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Miley Cyrus delivered the inaugural virtual performance. Since then, The Chainsmokers, The Black Keys, Jason Derulo and Gwen Stefani have headlined.
Post Malone is no stranger to major game-day performances. On Christmas Day, he joined Beyoncé on the field during halftime of the Houston Texans vs. Baltimore Ravens game to perform their song “Levii’s Jeans” from her Cowboy Carter album. Following the performance, he wrote on X, “thank you @Beyonce so much for havin me out in Houston, and on your beautiful record. also, thank you for sharin your talent and art with the world. I love you.”
This will also mark his second appearance at the event. In 2024, he performed “America the Beautiful” before the Chiefs’ 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
