Nevada Casinos Hit Record $15.6 Billion in 2024 as Slot Wins Edge Higher

The Nevada Gaming Control Board recently released statistics indicating that slot machines in 2024 had a marginally higher win percentage than in 2023. Statewide, slot machine win percentages averaged 7.2 percent in 2024, up from 7.16 percent the previous year. This slight increase suggests that casinos retained slightly more from players’ bets.

In total, Nevada’s casinos won a record $15.6 billion from gamblers in 2024, with $10.5 billion coming from slot machines and $5.1 billion from table games. The report also detailed win percentages by submarket, showing variance across different areas. For instance, slot machine win percentages were 7.51 percent in Clark County, 8.47 percent in downtown Las Vegas, and 8.03 percent on the Strip.

Table games, however, saw a decrease in win percentages, with a statewide average of 14.29 percent in 2024 compared to 14.77 percent in 2023. This indicates that players had slightly better outcomes on table games during 2024. In terms of specific regions, table game win percentages were 14.21 percent in Clark County, 9.65 percent in downtown Las Vegas, and 14.83 percent on the Strip.
