Art Bell, renowned for his radio show “Coast to Coast AM,” is reportedly the focus of a Hollywood bidding war for a biopic. The film is expected to star Paul Giamatti and is attracting interest from major studios like Universal, Warner Bros., and Amazon. Bell was known for his eclectic range of guests, including time travelers, UFO enthusiasts, and even celebrities like Regis Philbin and Leonard Nimoy.

His show, broadcast from the radio station he founded in Pahrump, Nevada, reached its peak with syndication on approximately 500 stations nationwide. Art Bell passed away at the age of 72 on April 13, 2018. He was recognized for his contributions to broadcasting by being inducted into both the Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame and the National Radio Hall of Fame.

The film project is being spearheaded by directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, known collectively as Radio Silence. They have previously directed films such as “Ready or Not” and more recent entries in the “Scream” franchise.
