Veteran Anchor John Huck Leaves Fox 5 to Launch New Venture After 37 Years

John Huck, a seasoned anchor known for his segment “The Rant” on Fox 5, has announced his departure from the station. After a lengthy 37-year career in television news, Huck is setting out to establish his own company. Details about his new venture remain sparse as he has not responded to inquiries for further comment.

Huck’s departure appears immediate, with his biography removed from the Fox 5 website. His role at the station included anchoring the weeknight newscasts and hosting the segment where viewers shared opinions on news issues anonymously.

Originally from Chicago, Huck has had a notable career, having anchored CNN Headline News in the 1990s before joining Fox 5 in 2002. His career also included stints at KCBS in Los Angeles and WPGH in Pittsburgh. His contributions to broadcasting were recognized with his induction into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2010.

Beyond his journalism career, Huck has been active in philanthropic efforts, notably co-hosting The Animal Foundation’s Best in Show dog-adoption event.
