Following this, she clinched victory at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas half marathon, marking her second win at this event in four years. Now residing in Las Vegas, Stevens expressed her enthusiasm for the race and her affection for the course and atmosphere.
Stevens completed the 13.1-mile race in 1:17:21, holding off runner-up Katie Watson by 10 seconds. Despite feeling the impact of her recent marathon, Stevens managed to maintain her pace and secure the win. Over 27,000 participants took part in the event, which included a 5K, half marathon, and 10K, all run on the iconic Las Vegas Strip.
In the men’s category, Johannes Motschmann from Germany won the half marathon, finishing in 1:04:13. He used the race as a fitness test while training in Flagstaff, Arizona. Mason Tope, who recently moved to Las Vegas, won the 10K with a time of 30:24, highlighting the unique experience of racing on the Strip.
Lindsey Knast from Erie, Colorado, won the women’s 10K in 39:03, enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and energy of the event. Participants embraced the festive spirit, with many wearing costumes and enjoying live music along the course. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series provided a lively and memorable experience for runners and spectators alike.
