Lisa, a member of BLACKPINK, recently discussed the challenges of fame during an appearance on the Thai radio talk show WOODY FM. She recounted a frightening experience with a persistent fan, marking the first time she personally encountered such an issue.
“I’ve never shared this before,” Lisa said. “Last year, it was the first time I actually experienced stalkers myself. I’ve heard a lot about it from other idol friends, mostly from male idols. But it just happened to me.”
She continued, “Usually, when my flight lands in South Korea, fans will be there waiting at the airport. That’s normal, and I appreciate that they come. But when I got home, I saw them waiting. So I told that person, ‘I’m really not comfortable with this. If you want to see me, let’s meet somewhere public. Showing up like this at my house, I feel uncomfortable."”
Fortunately, Lisa noted that the situation did not escalate further and she remains safe.
Despite this unsettling experience, Lisa has achieved significant milestones recently. She has ventured into acting, taking on the role of Mook in the third season of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
Additionally, on Feb. 28, she released her debut solo album, featuring 15 new tracks and collaborations with artists such as Megan Thee Stallion, Future, and Tyla. The album includes previously released singles like “Rockstar,” “New Woman” featuring Rosalía, “Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me),” and “Born Again” with Doja Cat and RAYE.
Lisa is also set to reunite with BLACKPINK for a summer 2025 world tour, marking their first tour together since the 2022-2023 “Born Pink World Tour,” which supported their Billboard 200-topping album “Born Pink.”
