It’s easy to focus on problems, pain, pressure, and difficulties because they feel immediate and overwhelming. Life’s hardships often consume our thoughts, making it difficult to see beyond the struggles. However, the biblical response is to shift our gaze from the temporary troubles to the eternal truths of God’s Word. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 reminds us, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
Instead of being consumed by fear, doubt, or frustration, Scripture calls us to respond with faith, prayer, and thanksgiving. Isaiah 26:3 promises, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” When we choose to trust in God’s sovereignty, surrender our worries through prayer, and focus on His goodness, we experience His peace that surpasses understanding. Rather than letting problems define us, we can stand firm, knowing that God is always working behind the scenes, turning trials into testimonies and pain into purpose.
