Ariana Grande Announces Deluxe Album and Short Film “Brighter Days Ahead”

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande announced a deluxe version of her “Eternal Sunshine” album, but she had more surprises in store. On Wednesday, March 12, the pop star revealed she will also release a short film titled “Brighter Days Ahead” on the same day as the expanded LP.

Grande shared the news on Instagram, posting a brief teaser for the project. In the clip, a robotic voice says, “Welcome back, Peaches,” referencing her character’s name in the “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”-inspired “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” music video. The teaser shows a marble spiraling down a silver structure toward the camera.

“Brighter days ahead, the short film also coming 3.28,” Grande wrote in the caption, confirming the visual release alongside “Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead.”

She also tagged director Christian Breslauer in the post. Breslauer previously directed music videos for “Eternal Sunshine” singles “Yes, And?,” “We Can’t Be Friends,” and “The Boy Is Mine.”

Grande initially released “Eternal Sunshine,” her seventh studio album, in March 2024. The album spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

On Monday, March 10, Grande confirmed that a full deluxe edition was on its way after months of teasing. She shared its ethereal cover art, which features her levitating toward a beam of light against a black background. This expanded version comes about five months after she released a “slightly deluxe” version of the album, which included live recordings and remixes of “Yes, And?” with Mariah Carey, “Supernatural” with Troye Sivan, and “The Boy Is Mine” with Brandy and Monica.
