The Bureau of Land Management conducted an online land sale in the Las Vegas Valley, generating over $16.5 million. Out of the ten parcels listed, eight were successfully sold, covering a total of 41.85 acres. The sale exceeded fair market value by more than $1.24 million. The parcels varied in size from 2.5 to 25 acres, with the two largest parcels remaining unsold.
Haikal Exemption Trust acquired three parcels, including 2.5 acres east of South Rainbow Boulevard for $1.52 million, 2.5 acres at the northwest corner of Roban Avenue and South Las Vegas Boulevard for $1.71 million, and 5 acres near the 215-Beltway for $2.07 million. Beazer Homes secured two adjacent parcels, each 5 acres, for $1.7 million and $2 million. Elite Excavating won a 12.5-acre parcel for $3.7 million, while Hamid “Henry” Moradi purchased 6.85 acres for $2.63 million. Khusrow Roohani bought a 2.5-acre parcel for $1.24 million.
Two parcels, one 10-acre and another 25-acre, did not receive bids and may be re-auctioned. Buyers are required to pay 20 percent of the purchase price by the following day and the balance by September 15.
The BLM has allocated 85 percent of the proceeds to Nevada projects, including park and trail development, federal land improvements, and environmental projects. Five percent is designated for state education, and the remaining 10 percent will support the Southern Nevada Water Authority.
