Bring Me The Horizon used AI visuals during a receent concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and it seems some fans aren’t very happy about that.
During the show, Bring Me The Horizon frontman Oli Sykes blended AI images with his own likeness, which disapointed fans of the metalcore group for ignoring the concepts of Nex Gen, which discusses the dangers of AI and technology.
One fan wrote on Reddit:
“As some of you might have seen, the band used AI visuals at their Brazil show. Forgive me, but I thought the entire point of the transition from post human 1 to 2 was essentially talking about the dangers of AI. The whole Eve to Eve_L character progression? The whole concept of “Nex Gen”? If my understanding is correct, they’ve now used AI for shows, merch, and single art. I guess I’m just disappointed? How can you bang on about how evil and bad AI is but also use it so consistently?”
The band has previously come under fire after fans suspected they were using AI for merch designs, which fans claim take away jobs from artists.
