Butcher Babies have finally released their first single under their new label!
The band has officially dropped their new track titled “Sincerity” after signing a deal with Judge & Jury Records, which was founded by Howard Benson (MCR, P.O.D.) and Three Days Grace Drummer Neil Sanderson.
Butcher Babies vocalist Heidi ShepardJess said of their newest single:
“Over the last decade and a half, Butcher Babies has become known for our aggression and soaring melodies. This new release is no different. Diving into real-life experiences and expectations while exposing the rawest part of our souls, this single is bound to invoke an emotional rollercoaster between looking toward the future with hope while reminiscing of past losses.”
Shepard also added:
“‘Sincerity’ is wishful thinking in that someone you trusted had been sincere and delicate with your feelings and emotions rather than used to feed their own ego and benefit. The tag line, ‘the lies we can’t survive’, stems from a relationship that has been fought for over and over again but, ultimately, can not be fixed. After years of a pathological liar looking you in the eyes and offering up intentional and insincere promises, this song touches on those eyes being the ‘eyes that lie’.
These new songs are written and produced with a purpose to show growth and maturity within the band. They are bound to invoke an emotional rollercoaster between looking toward the future with hope while reminiscing of past losses.”
This is the bands first single since the departure of co-vocalist Carla Harvey earlier in the year.
