Cardi B has ambitious plans for 2025, including a new album and a potential romantic pursuit.
In a recent Instagram livestream, the Bronx rapper reflected on her recent challenges and outlined her intentions for the year ahead. “I’ve been wilding out lately, but I want to get my f–king life together,” Cardi said. “I have so much coming next year. I know next year is gonna be my f–king year.”
She went on to share her goals: “My album will be out. My secret businesses will be out. Hopefully next year I get a little boyfriend.”
Fans have eagerly awaited Cardi’s sophomore album since her debut LP, Invasion of Privacy, topped the Billboard 200 in 2018. She teased in October that her new project was “coming really, really soon” and confirmed she’s been in the studio actively working on it.
Cardi acknowledged her hectic schedule in recent years, particularly in 2024. Personally, she welcomed her third child in September, just weeks after filing for divorce for a second time from Offset. The ex-couple, who share daughter Kulture and son Wave, have publicly sparred on social media since their split.
Professionally, Cardi continued to grow her Whipshots brand while releasing several singles, including “Like What (Freestyle),” “Enough (Miami),” “Puntería” with Shakira, and “Wanna Be” with Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla.
“This has been the rudest year I’ve ever experienced,” she said during her livestream. “I don’t know what the f–k happened this year. A b-h got knocked up, a b-h f–king fell in love, then fell out of love, then got a divorce. … I’m going through a very different transition in my f–king life.”
Cardi also made waves in politics this year, publicly supporting Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. She spoke at one of the vice president’s final campaign rallies on Nov. 1. After Harris lost to Donald Trump, Cardi praised her in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“To Vice President Kamala, no matter what they’ve said to bring you down or belittle your run for presidency, they can never say you didn’t run your race with honesty and with integrity,” Cardi wrote. “This may not mean much, but I am so proud of you! … You have shown my daughters and women across the country that anything is possible.”
