Carlos Santana Postpones Second Concert After Testing Positive for COVID-19

Carlos Santana, the legendary guitarist and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, has postponed two Texas concerts on his Oneness Tour after testing positive for COVID-19. The affected performances were scheduled for Tuesday at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio and Thursday at the Smart Financial Center in Sugar Land. Initially reported to be suffering from dehydration, his condition was updated by manager Michael Vrionis following the positive test result.

Santana, 77, is currently resting in his hotel and plans to resume the tour with concerts in Thackerville and Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The canceled Texas shows will be rescheduled, and fans are advised to retain their tickets.

This health setback follows previous incidents for Santana, including a hand injury from a fall in January 2025 that postponed his Las Vegas residency, and a similar dehydration-related collapse during a 2022 Michigan concert. Despite these challenges, Santana remains committed to performing, embracing his enduring passion for music and live shows.

Fans can look forward to upcoming performances, including appearances in Nashville, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and his Las Vegas residency titled “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live.”

Santana recently expressed that his tour would bring high energy, consciousness, and hope to audiences.

We wish Carlos Santana a speedy recovery and look forward to his return to the stage.
