Jeremy Camp has returned home and is recuperating following his second medical procedure this year. On December 4, a post on Camp’s Instagram shared by his friend Matt mentioned, “Merry Christmas! It’s time for another surgery! If you think of it today, please say a prayer for my best buddy as he undergoes knee replacement surgery.” During his fall tour, Camp had discussed the physical challenges he was facing, and now he’s looking forward to regaining full strength and preparing for next year’s tour. Although the recovery process will be lengthy, involving rehabilitation, Matt is confident that Camp will persevere. Matt also noted that Camp might occasionally update his social media during his recovery. Later, an update confirmed, “He’s home and resting! Thank you for your prayers!” Camp’s wife, Adrienne, also informed fans through his Instagram story that “Jeremy is home and resting,” and praised him for being resilient.
Earlier in the year, Camp underwent cardiac ablation surgery due to a heart condition known as AFib. Prior to the surgery, he explained, “The procedure involves accessing the veins in my leg to address AFib. My heart is beating irregularly, affecting various aspects of my health.” He recounted an incident where he experienced AFib on stage, forcing him to cut his performance short due to difficulty breathing and functioning. Following the heart surgery, Adrienne updated fans saying, “The surgery was successful, but recovery will take several months. We are incredibly thankful for your prayers and support, and for the excellent care from the doctor and staff.” She also shared a verse, “My strength and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26”
