Chris Brown’s album 11:11 (Deluxe) won the Best R&B Album award at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Competing against albums from Lalah Hathaway, Muni Long, Lucky Daye, and Usher, Brown expressed his gratitude on Instagram, thanking God, his team, and the Grammys, among others. This win marks his second Grammy, tying him with TLC, D’Angelo, and Robert Glasper for the second-most wins in this category, while Alicia Keys and John Legend lead with three each. Brown previously won this category in 2012 with his album F.A.M.E.
This award is RCA Records’ third win for Best R&B Album in the 2020s, following victories by Jazmine Sullivan in 2022 and Victoria Monét in 2024. Released on April 11, 2024, 11:11 (Deluxe) is the first deluxe album to win this category. The album features 35 tracks, including Grammy-nominated songs “Residuals” and “Sensational,” and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart.
In creating “Residuals,” musical duo Blaq Tuxedo highlighted how the song connects with fans, drawing parallels to Brown’s earlier F.A.M.E. era. The standard version of 11:11 was released on November 10, 2023, featuring the Grammy-nominated lead single “Summer Too Hot.” Brown promoted the album on his 11:11 Tour, joined by special guests Muni Long, Maeta, and Ayra Starr.
