The album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart dated Nov. 9, earning 299,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the tracking week of Oct. 25-31, according to Luminate—marking Tyler’s biggest week in units yet. Chromakopia was released on Monday, Oct. 28, an off-cycle release date, so its first-week total reflects just four days of activity, compared to the usual seven-day frame for Friday releases.
The LP sold 66,000 vinyl copies, logging the third-largest debut week for a rap album on vinyl since Luminate began tracking in 1991.
All 14 tracks from Chromakopia enter the Billboard Hot 100, led by the album’s opening track, “St. Chroma” featuring Daniel Caesar, which starts at No. 7, and “Noid”—released as a single on Oct. 21—which jumps 43-10. These mark Tyler’s first entries in the Hot 100 top 10.
