Dawn Robinson, Member of En Vogue, Has Been Homeless and Living in Car for the Last 3 Years!

Dawn Robinson, a former member of the R&B group En Vogue, recently shared in a YouTube video that she has been living in her car for the past three years. Robinson, now 58, explained that after staying with her parents in Las Vegas in 2020, she decided to move to Los Angeles. Initially, she was invited by her former manager to stay with him, but that arrangement did not work out, leading her to stay in a hotel for eight months.

Robinson encountered difficulties in securing an apartment, partly due to complications with her manager, who she felt was trying to control her situation. This prompted her to explore the concept of “car life,” which she embraced, feeling a sense of freedom and adventure. She emphasized that her decision was not one of desperation but self-discovery, describing it as a time to learn more about herself.

Reflecting on her journey, Robinson expressed no regrets, despite the challenges, including the loss of her dog, Max. While she misses her family and connections, she values the independence she has gained. Robinson concluded her message by encouraging others to embrace spontaneity and face their fears.

Robinson was a founding member of En Vogue, achieving significant success in the 1990s with hits like “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” and “Free Your Mind.” After leaving the group in 1997, she pursued various projects, including acting and participating in the reality show R&B Divas: Los Angeles.
