Dawn Robinson of En Vogue Reveals She’s Been Living in Her Car for Years!

Dawn Robinson, a founding member of the iconic R&B group En Vogue, has revealed that she has been living in her car for the past three years. In a candid YouTube video titled “YOUR NEW LIFE IS IN THE SCARY 🫣,” Robinson shared her journey into homelessness, which began after leaving her parents’ home in Las Vegas due to familial tensions. She moved to Los Angeles at the suggestion of her former manager, who initially provided hotel accommodations but did not assist her in securing stable housing. Facing these challenges, Robinson adapted to living in her car, finding a sense of freedom and resilience in her new lifestyle.

Despite the hardships, Robinson expressed pride in her ability to navigate this period of her life, stating, “We don’t give ourselves enough credit for the things that we do, and we doubt ourselves. It’s like, ‘Oh, wow. Could I ever sleep in my car? If I ever had to do that, could I?’ She has utilized gym memberships for showers and has received support from close friends and family members. Robinson’s story sheds light on the broader issue of homelessness, particularly among women, and highlights the importance of resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity.

Robinson’s revelation has sparked conversations about the challenges faced by artists after their time in the spotlight and underscores the need for greater support systems for individuals transitioning out of the entertainment industry.
