Heightened Security at Desert Oasis High School After Unsubstantiated Threat

Parents of students at Desert Oasis High School in southwest Las Vegas Valley were notified about a potential threat to the school. Principal Ian Salzman informed parents in an email that there was a rumor regarding a possible threat. However, following an investigation by the Clark County School District’s police department, the threat was found to be unsubstantiated. Despite this, there will be heightened police presence around the school, located near South Torrey Pines Drive and West Cactus Avenue, as a precautionary measure.
