Hometown Honors Ashley McBryde with a Day of Celebration and Recognition

Ashley McBryde recently received a heartwarming tribute from her hometown of Waldron, Arkansas. The city celebrated the acclaimed GRAMMY, CMA, and ACM Award-winning artist by designating November 24, 2024, as “Ashley McBryde Day.” In a gesture to commemorate her local roots and remarkable achievements, a roadside sign was unveiled on Highway 71. The event took place shortly after her impressive performance at the CMA Awards, where McBryde was present to accept the Key to the City and see the sign that acknowledged her lasting influence in the community that played a significant role in her upbringing.

Lorlla Wallace, President of the Waldron Chamber of Commerce, expressed excitement about the occasion, as McBryde joined family, friends, and locals to celebrate the honor. Following the ceremony, McBryde shared her gratitude on social media, expressing her pride in her hometown and appreciation for the special recognition.

Born and raised in Waldron, McBryde grew up in a musically inclined family. Her father, Dr. William McBryde, balanced his time between practicing medicine and preaching, while her mother, Marty Wilkins, supported her musical journey. McBryde has often credited her mother as a significant influence on her vocal talent. The artist also mentioned that her siblings share a strong musical background.

Following her visit to Arkansas, McBryde is set to release her much-anticipated track, “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs,” on December 6. Co-written with Chris Harris and Patrick Savage, the song reflects themes of loss and a yearning for timeless values, resonating with those seeking meaning in a rapidly changing world.

McBryde noted that recent years have left many feeling a void, and this song endeavors to reconnect listeners with the foundational aspects of identity, such as justice, work ethic, and community. She emphasized that the inspiration came from the cowboys they admired in their youth, who embodied resilience, kindness, and principled living.

The track is now available for pre-save and pre-add, inviting listeners to reconnect with those enduring values that shaped their lives.
