At number 10, another Hot 10 debut for Tyler, The Creator with Layers. Fans often use titles like this to refer to his style of crafting tracks with irresistible, “sticky” hooks and grooves that stay in your head. Tyler’s catalog is full of surprises and layers!
Falling a notch this week is Morgan Wallen with “Love Somebody” to 9. Going into the CMA’s this week, Morgan Wallen has the most nominations with seven, Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton with five, and Post Malone and Lainey Wilson with four, and unfortunately zero for Beyonce.
Re-entering the 10 this week, Benson Boone with “Beautiful Things”. It stands this week at number 8, and with its uplifting lyrics and soaring melodies, it sure resonates with fans as an anthem for finding hope and light even in tough times—a perfect example of Benson’s knack for turning personal reflections into universally touching music.
Up two notches this week is Sabrina Carpenter with “Taste,” landing at 8. Did you know she’s a huge fan of old-school jazz and cites artists like Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald as some of her biggest musical inspirations. In fact, Sabrina has incorporated their influence into her live performances, occasionally surprising fans with soulful renditions of classic songs. This love for jazz adds a unique depth to her pop sound and shows her appreciation for timeless music styles that inspire her artistry today!
Albeit they won’t perform this one at the CMAs, Post Malone and Morgan Wallen fall to 6 this week with “I Had Some Help,” Malone will be performing California Sober, his duet with Chris Stapleton. Who knows, he might do another impromptu song like he did at the ACMs with Reba McEntire.
Re-entering the top 5 this week is Teddy Swims with “Lose Control,” He’s got himself a new collab with country singer Thomas Rhett ahead of the CMAs, and if I heard right, Teddy’s going to perform this and potentially Lose Control at the ceremony.
Staying at 4 this week is the caffeine freak named Sabrina Carpenter with “Espresso,” Now you may or may not know that Sabrina is related to Bart Simpson! Yes, the legendary voice actor Nancy Cartwright is Sabrina’s aunt. But what you probably don’t know, her and Bart also been in the charts, back in the day. “Do The Bartman,” peaked at #11 on the Radio Airplay Chart in 1991.
Billie Eilish retains the number three spot with “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” We got talking on the program, she’s the youngest artist in history to write and record a James Bond theme song! At just 18 years old, Billie, along with her brother and collaborator Finneas, created “No Time to Die.” The hauntingly beautiful track earned her both a Grammy and an Academy Award.
Staying at two this week, the magical duet from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars entitled “Die With A Smile,” Right now on the Radio Airplay chart, it stands at number one. Her first since the 2011 hit “Born This Way,” and his first since the 2018 collab with Cardi B entitled “Finesse,”
Number one in the Hot 100, for 17 weeks, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” Shaboozey actually started out as an actor before he fully dove into music! He first gained recognition for his roles in short films and commercials but soon realized his true passion was in music. We’re very glad he made the switch, because he’s heading towards some chart-topping records.
Does his streak go to 18 weeks, or will Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars grab the top spot next week? Meet us on the air next Monday at 9am on Hot Hits 95.3!
